About Jonathan Boulet-Groulx

A young photographer and storyteller from Quebec, Jonathan has been documenting many different subjects for the last five years. One of his longterm projects, which aims at documenting the life of people living with an intellectual disability around the world, has taken him in many different cultures. He hopes to add to the collective memory of society, concerning those that are always constrained to silence.

Other stories include canadian family farming, open-air markets in Haiti, along with natural disasters in Haiti, like hurricanes or earthquake.

"To enter people's lives with respect and dignity, to really care about their daily struggles or accomplishments; that, for me, is to be a documentary photographer. And so I try to look at life through the eyes of a child; always surprised but never judging."
